Devotion: When Jesus says “It’s time to fish,” You go fishing

When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper and let down your nets to catch some fish.”

“Master”, Simon replied, “We worked hard all night last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear!

Luke 5: 4-6 (NLT)

Your timing doesn’t matter. God’s does. You can “fish” all day and all night on your own time and through your own strength and come out empty-handed, overwhelmed, and tired. But if you open your mind and heart long enough to let the Spirit lead your thoughts, words, and actions – then when God says “it’s time,” get back up and try again.

It doesn’t matter how tired you are.

It doesn’t matter how crazy other people think you are.

When God says move, MOVE.

You won’t be operating in your own strength anymore.

& the outcome will speak for itself.

You don’t have to find strength on your own. Ask & believe, and an unfathomable spirit of strength will be given to you. You have the power of God within you. The Holy Spirit leads when you ask.
