I have always loved to cook.
I really got into cooking when I was in college. I would make my own meals instead of eating take out or pizza for every meal. I loved cooking and I loved being healthy.
Later, I graduated and got married. I was able to show off my love for cooking. I would make crazy, from scratch dishes on the regular simply because I wanted to.
However, eventually, life got in the way. After a year or so, I started to find myself in the “cooking routine”. I was making the same 5-7 meals over and over, because they were quick and easy.
I was so bored with what I was cooking and with what I was eating.
Later, I finally realized what I didn’t like about cooking…. I didn’t like having to think: “what am I going to cook tonight?” or I didn’t like figuring out at the last minute that I didn’t have all the right ingredients.
THEN a friend introduced me to HelloFresh.

HelloFresh gives you a list of 8 or so meals and lets you pick out the meals you want ahead of time. They find all the fresh ingredients, put them in pre-labeled organized bags, and send them straight to your door. Fresh produce, herbs, spices, meat, and cheeses… whatever is needed for the recipe! The only thing you will ever need that they don’t provide is oil/butter and salt/pepper. I am telling you it is AMAZING.
After trying it, I soon remembered why I love cooking. I love making something from scratch and watching peoples faces when they bite into a delicious meal. HelloFresh makes sure I have all the right ingredients to make a delicious and fresh meal in about 30 minutes. No more wondering what to cook. No more not having what you need.
You can choose 3 or 4 meals a week. It cost $20 per meal. I went back and forth in my head for a long time before deciding to give HelloFresh a try. For the longest time, I thought that it sounded too expensive… I am a smart shopper; I could buy groceries for less than that. But then, I kept going back to my real problem. Time, Variety, and Connivence.
I live in the middle of no where. I can’t just run to the store when I don’t have something. HelloFresh has given me so much more time and freedom. I only go to the grocery store every two weeks or so when I need staple items.

HelloFresh does a great job at offering a wide range of recipe options that give variety but still offering enough options to please everyone. Each meal comes with a recipe card (pictured above and below).
I live in a very rural area, so don’t think, “Oh, that’s something that’s only available in big cities! This could be you, every week! IT IS SO GOOD.

Even if you’ve never liked to cook, this makes it so easy! HelloFresh has saved my love for cooking and has allowed me to add variety to my meal line up!

Great photos Katie! I’ve heard great things about Hello Fresh but have never tried them. Thanks for pointing out they aren’t just for people who live in cities. The further you are from a grocery store the nicer it is to have your groceries delivered!
Thanks for reading! If you have any questions about it feel free to ask! ♥️
Honestly if I had the money I would be signing STRAIGHT up to a box like Hello Fresh. I love cooking, I love food and I love trying new recipes but like you,
I feel a bit bored with what I’m eating and tend to make the same thing multiple times xxx
I understand! The expense is definitely the biggest problem with this. Though, you can skip as many weeks as needed. Like, you could only get one once or twice a month if you really wanted to try it.
XOXO
