A Weekend at Sonesta Hilton Head Island Resort

Sonesta Hilton Head Island Resort

A Weekend at Sonesta Hilton Head Island

As a Virginian, I’ve spent my entire life going to the different beaching along the NC and SC coast. However, I had actually never been to Hilton Head Island before this trip. I had heard great things, and now I know why. The beach itself is gorgeous, the water was calm and not too cold, and everyone we met was great. I would absolutely return to Sonesta Hilton Head Island Resort!

Highlights:

We were extremely impressed with every aspect of Sonesta Hilton Head Island Resort! From the front desk, restaurants, housekeeping, and the spa – everyone went out of their way to make sure that we were satisfied. Our room was spacious and clean with a large balcony. They even had a bottle of wine and a cheese tray sent to our room to welcome us on our first night! It is also worth noting that the resort is family-friendly and has several amenities for kids.

The Sonesta Brand:

This is my third Sonesta brand hotel that I’ve worked with this year, and I keep working with them because of the great hospitality that each and every location has shown me. Each location has been modern, chic, and yet still very unique. I highly recommend a weekend trip to Sonesta Hilton Head Island Resort, and simply the brand in general if your travels take you elsewhere!

The Pool and Beach:

I am a beach lover, so that is where we spent most of our time. However, we did spend a few hours at the pool as well. The beach offers beach chair and umbrella rentals. But, we did not use them – we simply laid on towels in the sand. The pool offers a variety of comfortable loungers (first come, first serve) and poolside service for food and drinks from the Sweet Cane Bar and Grill. So no matter your preference, there is somewhere for you to relax and enjoy the sunshine and salty air.

The Food:

Sonesta Hilton Head Island Resort offers six different dining options (click the link to read about each one). We had an incredible dinner (pictured above) and an equally appetizing breakfast the next morning at Heyward’s Restaurant. At dinner, the short rib mac and cheese and Tuscan Caesar salad were two of my favorites! But literally, everything was delicious. We tried so much food, the waiter joked about bringing us our “second meal” after the first course.

In addition, we had a fabulous lunch at The Sandbar – which is located right off of the beach. I highly recommend the jerk chicken and a rum bucket 🙂 They also had some incredible live music while we were having lunch.

Inside the lobby was an excellent coffee bar during the day and served specialty cocktails throughout the day and into the night. They also offer a bloody mary and mimosa bar from 10-2 on the weekends. I loved not having to leave the resort to get a variety of excellent food!

The Arum Spa:

Sonesta Hilton Head Island Resort treated me to a signature facial at their own Arum Spa during my stay. The environment was very relaxing and I was very pleased with the entire experience. I added on a dermaflash treatment and a hydrating lip mask. My skin felt renewed and refreshed afterward. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that every treatment is followed by a free glass of lavender champagne and a hot foot soak.

Conclusions:

I want to say a huge thank you to Sonesta Hilton Head Island Resort for hosting me on this trip. We had a great time and would 100% return to this resort in the future. If you have any questions, please let me know! I’d love to talk with you about whether this resort would be a good fit for you. Follow along for more content on Instagram and/or Facebook. I hope you have a fabulous week and am sending all the love and prayers to anyone reading this!
