There are some weekends you don’t really want to explain—you just want to remember them.
A weekend at the lake with family. My daughter running around with her cousins, dogs everywhere, the kind of slow summer days where nobody is in much of a hurry. Sunsets over the water. Dirty feet. Loud kids. Golden light.
Nothing particularly extraordinary happened, and maybe that’s exactly why I wanted to photograph it.
These are the moments I know I’ll want someday—the expressions I might otherwise forget, the dogs who were part of the chaos, the way the lake looked at the end of the day, and the ordinary pieces of time that somehow become the memories we treasure most.
So here are a few photos from our weekend getaway—the little things I want to remember.
